Hope Montessori Educational Institute offers online and in-person workshops for school communities, assistant guides, lead guides, and families. Our instructors are experts in the areas of Montessori philosophy, observation, preparation of the teacher, Infant & Toddler Development, Early Childhood Development, building school community, and family partnerships. We will work with you to create a workshop that meets the needs of your audience. Fill out the form below to bring an HMEI workshop to your school community!
Please complete this form 8-16 weeks before your preferred date. This will allow us to obtain Missouri professional development approval and create your workshop.
Assistant Centered Workshops at HMEI!
Hope Montessori Educational Institute offers in-person workshops at our beautiful Lake Saint Louis campus for assistant guides throughout the year. These workshops explore Montessori from the perspective of the assistant guide and are a great way to deepen your understanding of Montessori, the role of the assistant guide in the environment, and developing as a professional. Missouri professional development hours will be available for each session.

Session 1: The Prepared Adult: Your Role in the Montessori Environment
Join us for The Prepared Adult: Your Role in the Montessori Environment, a workshop for assistant guides. We will cover the following topics: understanding when to step in, when to step back, how to protect concentration, and how guides/assistants work as a team. Each participant will earn 2 hours of professional development. Presented by Amanda Allmeroth and Cate Epperson.

Session 2: Observe First: Learning to See Before You Act
Join us for Observe First: Learning to See Before You Act, a workshop for assistant guides focused on practical observation skills. This workshop will cover the following topics: reading behavior, noticing patterns, separating observation from interpretation, and using what you see to decide what to do. Participants will earn 2.5 hours of professional development. Presented by Amanda Allmeroth and Cate Epperson.
