Organization History

Founded more than 40 years ago as a single Montessori campus in Creve Coeur, Missouri, the Hope & Andrews organization has grown into a network of 15 schools. This network includes Hope Montessori Infant & Toddler Community, Hope Montessori Academies, and Andrews Academy elementary schools. While offering both Montessori and traditional educational options, Hope is most widely recognized for its longstanding leadership in Montessori education.

To meet the increasing demand for qualified Montessori educators in the Midwest and across the country, the Hope organization expanded its mission to include teacher preparation. In 2012, it established Hope Montessori Educational Institute (HMEI) to support this work. HMEI now prepares Montessori guides who serve diverse communities and uphold the organization’s commitment to quality education.

Grounded in four decades of excellence, Hope continues to serve children, families, and adult learners through authentic Montessori environments and high-quality teacher preparation.
